Authenticity and compassion are two of the core values that drive Jerry in his personal and professional life. Self-awareness is another, he says, because it allows him to better manage and regulate his emotions, and it provides a foundation for strengthening the relationships he has with those around him. He brings these values and more to his coaching practice and is rewarded when clients discover the happiness of realizing their full potential.
Jerry’s career has allowed him to gain experience in diverse settings and across multiple disciplines. His background includes client relationship management, executive leadership, capital formation, sales and marketing, product development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic planning, and rapid growth management. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from the University of Akron.
“My focus,” he says, “has always been to help employees, client leaders, board members, and others gain insights and skills that allow them to become better leaders, have more confidence, increase their cognition, employ empathy, boost their personal satisfaction, and raise their EQ.”
As a leader and mentor, Jerry guided a myriad of teams through rapid business growth, new-market entry, competitive positioning, market demand changes, funding challenges, and enterprise exits – all of which require complex problem-solving, team collaboration and development, and stress management.
While Jerry’s coaching style is rooted in strong beliefs and values, he describes himself as “evolving,” with a drive to continuously learn and improve. He strives to stay laser-focused on what is truly important and enjoys working with leaders to help them strengthen their leadership and management skills while also teaching them to more easily navigate their professional lives.
Jerry doesn’t shy away from a challenge. “I’m always game to jump into situations where leaders are faced with continuous changes and challenges,” he says. “and the odd dose of chaos can also pique my interest.”
