With decades of global sales leadership in information technology, Steve has managed high performance sales organizations and teams selling new products into global financial enterprises and Department of Energy National Labs, the largest and most complex computing environments in the world.
Information technology can be inherently stressful as it involves rapid change that requires continuous adaptation and learning. Selling information technology into enterprises is an even bigger challenge because of the complex sales environment and the inherent stress of sales.
Steve understands the challenges and stresses leaders face today. He has balanced the relentless tension of responsibilities and heavy global travel schedule, fruitfully grown his lifelong marriage and raised four thriving adult daughters. He is quick to acknowledge the selfless contribution of his incredible wife to these successes.
Steve earned his BS in Computer Science and then an MBA. The early days of his career were technically focused. Wanting to make a change, he took a sales role at a US field office for a startup Australian based software company. Steve quickly learned the need to increase his emotional intelligence which continues to be a lifelong process.
Steve has coached throughout his career out of gratitude for his many mentors and his desire to give back. He has seen firsthand how the VIM coaching approach enables further insights and awareness to become a more effective leader, better father and more loving husband. He believes that to be successful, properly balance life’s tensions and to solve complex problems, we must be present and self-aware with a quiet and open mind.
Steve welcomes the opportunity to work with other technology executives to take their career or personal life to the next level.
